Chelsea Diaz, LMSW, is a Licensed Master’s Social Work clinician and the Director of Substance Abuse Services at SECURE Counseling. Originally from Florida, Chelsea has called the Midwest home for more than 25 years and now resides in Chicago, Illinois.
Chelsea began her professional journey as a school counselor before transitioning into private practice, where she found her passion in helping individuals navigate substance use challenges, emotional struggles, and personal transitions. She brings over 15 years of combined experience in education, counseling, and behavioral health to her leadership role.
As Director of Substance Abuse Services, Chelsea oversees program development, staff training, and clinical operations. Her leadership emphasizes compassion, accountability, and innovation—ensuring that every program at SECURE Counseling is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to meet the needs of each client.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Chelsea is dedicated to creating an inclusive and culturally responsive counseling environment. Her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds has made her a trusted voice in supporting individuals and families toward recovery and wellness.
Outside of her professional life, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, and exploring outdoor adventures across the Midwest.
